Have you found a wild/injured bird?
Wild/injured birds must be handled by a wildlife rehabilitator.  Wild/injured birds require a specific license (which we do not have).  We currently only work with parrots.  If you have found an injured/wild bird or have questions regarding wildlife, we recommend contacting your local wildlife rehabilitator.

Please keep in mind that we operate out of a personal home residence.  Visits to our location are by appointment only. 

  • Quickest responses are typically through email/text or messages through our Facebook page.    
  • Please note, the rescue is primarily run by one individual.  Due to the high volume of calls, texts, emails, etc. response times may be slow.  As stated above, text/email/Facebook are the best ways to contact me.  
  • Feathers Galore is located in Lebanon Junction, KY (about 10-15 minutes south of Louisville).

Feathers Galore is operated out of a personal home residence. 
**Please keep in mind this is a personal home residence, not a business/storefront.  I ask that you respect my family's privacy at our home. Our hope is to one day have a public place that you will be able to visit, but this option is not currently available.      

All visits are by APPOINTMENT ONLY.  
**Currently visits to Feathers Galore are only approved for adoptions and surrenders.  Adoptions & Surrenders must be approved and scheduled in advance. 
**We are not open to the general public for visitation at this time.  
 
If interested in adoption, you must submit an application for adoption. 
**Please visit the ADOPTION tab on this website for more information.  We will contact you to schedule an appointment if your application is selected for adoption.
